Administration
Principal
Ms. Karisa Legg

Hello Eagleside Family!!
My name is Karisa Legg and I am honored and grateful serve as Eagleside's Principal. I was born and raised in Southern California before moving to Salem, Oregon for college and spending 15 years of my adult life in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest. While we loved our time there, we were drawn to Colorado 3 years ago by the sunshine and couldn't be more happy to have landed in District 8!
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 4 amazing kiddos ages 10, 9, 6 and 4; all four of which are part of the Eagleside family as well! We are a very active family and love all things sports and outdoors, including running, hiking, and team sports (especially baseball). I also love competition and have completed multiple half and full marathons, Spartan races and most recently, a Half IronMan.
I have been in education for 13 years, teaching 1st through 4th grades as well as having served as an instructional coach, reading specialist and assistant principal. I am passionate about making school feel like home for students, their families and our staff. Thank you for trusting us with your kiddos and making this such a special community to be a part of!
Rising Strong, We Belong!!
Assistant Principal
Mr. Stoltzfus

Hello Eagleside Community!
My name is Hunter Stoltzfus, and I am thrilled to step into the assistant principal position! I am excited to continue supporting this community, encouraging our students to be the best versions of themselves. I have had the pleasure of teaching at this incredible school for the last 10 years. I was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania in Amish country. After graduating from college in 2016, I moved to Colorado and began teaching here at Eagleside. I spent three years in 2nd grade, five years in 5th grade, and two years in 4th grade. My wife and I love being in Colorado. We spend our free time camping, riding bikes, watching birds, and enjoying almost anything outside. I also love running, playing music, playing board games, and reading a solid book. The last ten years have been an amazing time at this school, and I am looking forward to many more! Thank you for your continued trust and support as we journey into the next year together.
Dean of Students
Dr. Kinchelo

Hello Eagleside Family! My name is Dr. Lauryn Kincheloe, and it is an honor to join this community as your Dean of Students. I am deeply passionate about working in an environment where every student is fully supported in their personal and academic journey, allowing them to truly thrive. I grew up in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation in 2013, I moved to Craig, Colorado for my first teaching post! I worked in Craig, CO for 7 years as a middle school social studies teacher, before transitioning into being a MLL teacher.
While in Craig, I met my husband, who I have been married to for 8 years. We have two boys who are 6 and 4, and who are also members of the Eagleside community. When my husband received a career opportunity in the Colorado Springs area, we decided to move, and I have worked with D8 for the past 5 years. I worked at Fountain Middle School, primarily as an English teacher.
When I am not at school, I spend time with my family. My boys are active in wrestling and soccer. Flag football might also be thrown into the mix this fall! We enjoy going to parks and spending time outside. I also greatly enjoy reading and traveling!
I am excited to join this community and look forward to championing students as they learn and grow!
School Counselor
Ms. Erin Murphy

Hi! My name is Erin Murphy, and I’m so excited to be starting my third year as the school counselor at Eagleside Elementary. I’ve been in education for 18 years and have had the privilege of working with students from kindergarten through high school. Along the way, I’ve taught PE, worked as a middle school counselor, and discovered just how much I love helping students grow both academically and socially.
I’m originally from New York, but I’ve lived in Colorado for the past 10 years. My husband is also a teacher, and we have two daughters who are proud to be part of our Eagleside family too! When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with my family. I’m also a big sports fan—you’ll often find me cheering for the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees. I feel so lucky to be part of the Eagleside community and look forward to supporting our students and families this year!
School Psychologist
Ms. Smith

My name is Allie Smith, and I am excited to join the Eagleside family this year. I am originally from Michigan, and my husband and I moved to Colorado in 2020 for my internship at Aragon Elementary in District 8. I have been at Mountainside Elementary on Fort Carson for the past 5 years, and have loved getting to help students grow and learn about their unique strengths during this stage in of their education. My husband is a high school teacher, and we love spending our breaks together exploring Colorado, camping, cooking and eating, and hanging out with our dog. I also enjoy rock climbing and gardening, and a good sitcom.
Working with students and families is my favorite part of my job, and I’m looking forward to getting to know this amazing community! I have heard such great things about Eagleside and feel lucky to be here.
