I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California. As a Retired Army spouse, my family and I are now official residents of beautiful, colorful Colorado. My four children are enrolled in the FFC8 school district – FMS, Eagleside, and Preschool. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, organizing, hiking, playing basketball and softball, spending time with my family: seeing new places, venturing to do new things and trying new foods. I am so overjoyed to call Eagleside Elementary my home! This is my third school year here at Eagleside. As the Special Education Secretary, for the past two years, my primary responsibilities are maintaining anything Special Education related including, not limited to: SPED records, scheduling meetings and organizing Individualized Education Plans with our Special Education Team. My ultimate joy is engaging with people of all ages, learning from each other while bringing positive thoughts, and smiles and rising to any occasion.😊

Hi! My name is Melissa Smalley and I am so excited to be a part of the Eagleside family this year! My husband and I are both FFCHS graduates and absolutely love the Fountain community. I have two amazing sons who keep me crazy busy with sports and I love every minute of it. When I’m not at a practice or game, you can find me watching standup comedy, cheering on the Broncos, going to the movies, or exploring mountain towns. As your Eagleside registrar and attendance secretary, my primary responsibilities include greeting visitors at the main window, answering phones, tracking attendance and maintaining records for all of our amazing Eagleside students. 😊
